There’s no better way to celebrate the season of acorns and pumpkins than with a fall festival. During the 2017 Fall Festival at Snead’s Farm, visitors enjoy some unique and memorable ways to celebrate harvest time. If you’re looking for an adventure the whole family can enjoy this fall, read on to learn about this Fredericksburg attraction.
2017 Fall Festival at Snead’s Farm
All October, Snead’s Farm in Fredericksburg, Virginia hosts its annual Fall Festival. Take a hayride out to the pumpkin patch, and pick the perfect pumpkin to paint, carve, or cook.
Thanks to lots of preparation and hard work, the farm has added several attractions that take this festival beyond a pumpkin-hunting extravaganza. Visitors, both young and old, can take a ride on the Snead’s Mountain Slides. There’s a steeper slide for adults and a less intense version for the youngsters. Both are built into the hill leading down to the farm’s creek.
After trying out the slide, visitors can get lost in the Out of My Gourd natural maze or the four sunflower mazes. There are chickens and llamas to feed, barn swings to play on, and sunflower fields to frolic in. During the week, guests are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy out on the farm.
Another unique attraction debuting this year is the Unicorn Trail, designed by a local artist. Unicorn Fraps may be extinct, but this trail is here to stay. There’s also a new and improved Vietnam-era helicopter for you to explore. Don’t forget to snap a few pictures while you take in everything this farm has to offer.
