Sometimes, you feel like drinking wine or beer at home. Other times, you feel like getting out and exploring while enjoying some alcohol. When the urge to explore comes up, hit the Grapes and Grains Trail. This trail includes wineries, breweries, and a distillery. You can enjoy tasty drinks and explore the inner workings of these facilities when you visit the trail.
How it Works
You will go to each spot on your own, but you will need to buy tickets for the VIP experience. Tickets cost $15 plus tax for each person. When you buy the ticket, you will get a collectible tasting glass, discounts at each location, and VIP tours of each facility. That includes five wineries, five breweries, and one distillery.
You don’t have to visit all of the locations in a single day. Tickets are valid for a year, so hold onto it and pace yourself. Then, you can keep coming back until you take your last sip.
Trail Stops
If you get a ticket, you will get to visit a ton of places in Fredericksburg and nearby areas. Consider starting in Fredericksburg with Adventure Brewing Company, Red Dragon Brewery, Spencer Devon Brewing, Hartwood Winery, Maltese Brewing Company, and A. Smith Bowman Distillery.
Then, move on to Spotsylvania, where you will find Wilderness Run Vineyards, 1781 Brewing Company, Lake Anna Winery, and Mattaponi Winery. Finish it off in Stafford, where you can visit Potomac Point Winery.
By the time you make your last stop, you will have enjoyed the best wine and beer the area has to offer. Then, you will know which places you’ll want to visit a second time. Be sure to bring your friends with you when you come back so they can also enjoy the delicious flavors.
After you taste the wines and brews on the trail, your life will be opened up to the finer things in life. That means a trip to Volvo Cars Fredericksburg in Fredericksburg, Virginia, will be in order. Your new Volvo will help you experience the finer things every time you step inside.
